About Kallista
Hello! I'm Kalli From Northern California. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO and an EBC International TEFL &TESOL Certificate (150 hours) obtained in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I spent a year in Buenos Aires teaching private classes, group classes, and Business English in companies eg, managers from Motorola Solutions Argentina. I have experience teaching private classes with students of all ages and levels and have extensive experience teaching online. I have also lived, taught, and studied in Florianópolis, Brazil and am Upper Intermediate in both Portuguese and Spanish.

My teaching methodology depends on the age, level, interests, and language learning motivations / goals of the student. I am very flexible and lesson material / teaching style is adapted to the student. I have experience giving grammar-based lessons followed by a balance of hands-on activities and practice to improve listening / speaking / reading / writing. The focus of the class is determined by the student. For example, conversation based classes, test preparation, advanced grammar, American English pronunciation, prepositions etc. I have extensive experience teaching Business English- working with a number of business professionals of varying professions and in companies. You can expect to improve: cultural jargon, cultural knowledge, phrasal verbs, interview prep, presentation practice, resume editing, polite language, e-mails, etc.

Kalli es una de las mejores proferosas que he tenido. Siempre se preocupa por tu aprendizaje y hace que llegues muy lejos sin darte cuenta. Mi nivel en ingles era bastante basico y con ella en muy poco tiempo mejore mi nivel hasta intermedio avanzado. Gracias a su compromiso pude obtener un nuevo trabajo donde era imprescindible el manejo del idioma. La recomiendo las veces que sea necesario.
