About Amanda

I am a native Mandarin speaker from China and I am now based in London. I have a background in broadcasting and hosting, which means I was trained to speak clearly and confidently. I have also hosted many events, so I enjoy communicating with people and creating a lively atmosphere. I love sharing Mandarin and Chinese culture with others. In my lessons, I like to keep things flexible, relaxed, and enjoyable, while also making sure there is steady progress. I listen carefully to each person’s goals and interests, and I adapt the lessons so that learning feels natural and motivating. For me, teaching is not just about language, it is also about building confidence, exploring culture, and making the learning journey enjoyable.

About the lesson

My teaching approach I focus on making each lesson engaging and practical. I combine structured learning with interactive conversation practice, so students can quickly apply what they learn in real-life situations. I also like to introduce elements of Chinese culture, such as traditions, festivals, and everyday expressions, to make learning more enjoyable and meaningful. Teaching techniques and methodology I adapt my lessons to each student’s needs. For beginners, I use simple dialogues, daily vocabulary, and fun exercises. For more advanced learners, I incorporate authentic materials such as news clips, cultural topics, or social media content to develop fluency and cultural understanding. Lesson length The length of each lesson is flexible and can be adjusted to suit your needs. I arrange the class time based on your level, learning goals, and availability.
