About Mingjie

Hello! My name is Mingjie Wang, and I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from China, currently living in the UK.

I completed my Master's degree in the UK and am fluent in both Mandarin and English.

I have experience teaching students of different ages, backgrounds and language levels. My teaching style is friendly, patient and practical, with a strong focus on helping students communicate confidently in real-life situations.

Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for HSK exams, improving your conversational Chinese, or learning Mandarin for travel, work or personal interest, I can tailor lessons to your specific goals.

I offer flexible online Mandarin lessons as well as in-person lessons in Southampton by arrangement.

A free trial lesson is available so that we can discuss your learning goals and create a study plan that works best for you.

A free 30-minute trial lesson is available for all new students. During the trial lesson, we will discuss your learning goals, current level and create a personalised learning plan.

All learning materials are provided free of charge.

Lessons are available online via Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

Discounted lesson packages are available for students who book multiple lessons in advance.

I focus on practical Mandarin for real-life communication, travel, work and everyday conversation.
