About Luke
I’m Luke, born and raised in Hull, a massive fan of conservation and nature, Formula One and football. Sadly I am a Spurs fan so the less said about football the better. I’m a member of the RSPB so I do enjoy bird watching and every summer for the past 2 years I’ve volunteered to teach ecology and data analysis to year 12 students in Morecambe‘s salt marshes over a whole week. If you ever want some table tennis coaching I am definitely your guy, I’ve coached people since year 6, I’m now a third year uni student.

My goal in teaching is to let the student work it out for themselves. My personal experience, alongside the scientific foundation to the supervision system at Cambridge, showed that a student’s own logic is much easier to remember for them, than a completely new fact. I introduce new information where needed but my preferred way of delivering information is allowing the student to go from their fundamentals to the answer or to a new fact. This type of tutoring ends up being more conversational (with lots of questions from me checking fundamentals) but much more active than me simply delivering.
