About Dima

Dima Hohlov began his journey into the world of photography as a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where he studied photography and printing. His career swiftly progressed as he took on the role of managing the Drive In photo studio in New York. This position provided him with invaluable industry experience and connections.

Dima had the privilege of assisting renowned photographers such as Merry Ellen Mark, Annie Leibovitz, Robert Maxwell, and Jeff Riedel. His dedication and skill led him to become the first assistant to Paola Kudacki and work freelance with David Sims. Eventually, he advanced to the role of lighting director for the legendary Steven Meisel, spending three transformative years under his mentorship.

After his time with Meisel, Dima relocated to London and began establishing his name as an independent photographer. His unique style quickly garnered attention, leading to multiple cover shoots for prestigious magazines including Wallpaper, Bazaar, Tatler, Stylist, Wonderland, Crash, Interview, Condé Nast Traveller, and Elle.

Dima's commercial portfolio is equally impressive, featuring collaborations with both high street and high fashion brands from around the globe. His ability to capture distinctive, compelling images has made him a sought-after talent in the industry.
