About Roberta

I am currently a medical student at Imperial, with a master's and undergraduate degree. I have over a year's experience tutoring small groups (ages 4-16) including GCSE, 11+ and creative writing. Working at a tutorial centre can be fast-paced, so teaching needs to be well-organised and structured. During my time, I have adapted my methods to suit various styles of learning for a range of aptitudes. I view every child as highly capable, and strive to grow positive attitudes while cultivating interest and enthusiasm. I feel strongly about encouraging students to be inquisitive and confident when interacting with teachers and tutors, as I have frequently seen how strengthening this area can really springboard achievement. Such a trait can be taken with them into school and later life, and will help them get the most out of their learning opportunities. University : - Imperial College London - MRes in Bioengineering [Merit] - King's College London - BSc in Biomedical science [2:1] - Imperial College London - Medicine [Ongoing] School : A Levels - Biology [A] - Maths [A] - Chemistry [B] - Music [B] GCSEs - Maths [A] - Science [A*] - English Language [A] - English Literature [A]
