About Ingrid

I received a BA in Romance Languages and French Philology from Columbia University in New York and an MA in Media Studies from the University of Sussex in the UK. As a professional translator, I have the opportunity to utilize several languages on a daily basis which has sharpened my conversation skills. To further my language expertise, I have traveled and studied extensively abroad, enabling me to work with individuals from around the world. As a native New Yorker, I can teach you typical American colloquialisms.

About the lesson

English conversation lessons will be tailored to the student's needs and interests, providing individualized attention. Homework will be assigned and reviewed for each class. A variety of topics will be discussed during each class in order to develop and strengthen oral expression and fluentness.

Ingrid is an excellent conversation tutor! I took several on-line classes with her to complement my university studies as an ESL student in Morocco. Despite the 5-hour time difference between us, we were able to schedule video chat sessions during mutually convenient times. The homework that Ingrid assigned helped me increase my vocabulary and built my confidence in order to do well in English oral exams. I would definitely recommend Ingrid as a teacher

Ingrid is a great tutor! Her homework assignments are focused on the student's personal interests and life experiences which helped me to become more comfortable with speaking in English. What I liked most is that we worked on the vocabulary and idiomatic expressions that I will need to use in my chosen career industry. I would definitely recommend her!
