My teaching methods are quite holistic and visual-spatial. I use a combination of cue cards, notebooks, pre-printed worksheets, as well as a whiteboard, to teach. I always ensure that my students are actively paying attention, and truly learning. I implement small exercises to almost "quiz" them, and use lots of other formative assessment strategies, such as grade-less essays or homework assignments. This makes sure that my students never fall behind, or feel lost, or anxious about what they are learning.
My name is Megan and I am a sophomore NYU student studying Media, Culture, and Communications. I plan on also minoring in English, and hope to receive my teaching certificate as soon as possible. I absolutely love to learn, and I love to teach as well! I excel most in grammar, reading, and writing, and would love to help you succeed!
My rate may or may not change depending on the location of the student (for example, West Vancouver students wishing to have classes at home may be charged extra).
