About Jovial
I am a fresh HS graduate from a selective school and currently do not have any formal tutoring experience, however, throughout high school, I have tutored my younger relatives and classmates after school at libraries for maths. In 2015 and 2016, I participated in the School Mentoring Program where I assisted in the teaching of English literature for primary school students. I also participated in my school's peer leadership and support program for year 7 from 2015 to 2018 which consists of providing private sessions on students' wellbeing whilst mentoring of the school's structure, system of teaching and culture. I enjoy helping other people by passing down my knowledge and witnessing how much they have improved with my help.

What I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to provide both academic and mental support. For academic support, I would firstly take the time to identify the student's issues and struggles and understand them from their perspectives then help them by attacking those problems by teaching them the most effective learning process or strategy tailored for them. Besides that, I will always keep in mind to create an engaging and fun learning environment.
