About Francisco

Hello! My name is Francisco, and teaching English is my greatest passion.

*My Academic Background*

I hold a Bachelor’s and a Postgraduate degree in English and American Studies from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon (FLUL). I am currently finishing my Master's degree in English Teaching at NOVA FCSH. Studying Anglo-American language and culture has always been my natural path.

*Teaching Experience & the Cambridge Method*

I started teaching early on, and today I am an English teacher for the 3rd Cycle and Secondary School at one of the leading private schools in Portugal. This daily practice allows me to stay fully up to date with the best learning strategies. Furthermore, I have extensive experience with the rigorous Cambridge methodology and exam preparation, thanks to a partnership with the school where I work. In addition to this, I am also highly experienced in preparing students for the national exams, covering speaking as well as all other core English skills.

*Online Lessons*

I provide online English lessons (via video call) to students of all ages, whatever their goals may be (whether that is school support, exam preparation, career advancement, or fluency for travelling).

My main goal is to share this daily dedication with you and help you master English with complete confidence!

About the lesson

Learning English doesn’t have to be boring! In my lessons, the focus is entirely on you and your own pace. To ensure you get the most out of every session, I follow these four principles:

* My primary goal is to understand where you face the biggest challenges so we can overcome them together, step by step.
* Learning with rigour doesn't mean missing out on the fun. I regularly combine grammar and vocabulary study with games, role plays, and other creative activities.
* Since no two students are the same, I tailor my teaching to your personality and your goals. Whether you prefer a more traditional approach or highly interactive activities, I will always find the best way to help you improve.
* I believe that open communication between us is the key to success. I want you to feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and, of course, making mistakes (it’s all part of the process!).

In my classes, you will find a relaxed environment, a lot of patience, and a positive attitude. Regardless of what you want to use the language for (whether it is for travelling, working, or improving your school grades), I am here to help you speak English with increasing fluency and confidence.
