About Nathalie

I am originally from Paris and I now live in London. I have been teaching French and English for the last twenty years. I have worked in France, Canada, The UK and South Korea, teaching children, students and adult learners.

About the lesson

My lessons are based on the European languages framework (CEFR) defined by the European Council. It specifies what skills a learner is expected to master at each level (A1 to C2) in the following categories: reading, listening, speaking and writing. I also offer fun conversation classes. I teach one-to-one lessons and group lessons (a maximum number of 4 attendees per class). I can teach online via all major platforms (Skype, Zoom, FaceTime ...). I offer a free placement test and we discuss your goals before you start. I provide tailor-made courses and free learning material which you will receive by email before each lesson. Learners also have the possibility of purchasing the textbooks from publishers if they wish to do so. Learners are at the centre of my teaching, it means that I make sure that they are as active as possible during the lesson so, listening and speaking are the core of the online lesson. Written exercises are usually completed at home. Casual learners can purchase pay-as-you-go lessons. 5 lessons packs are available and valid for 6 weeks.

I've been having weekly French conversation sessions with Nathalie for several months via Zoom. Usually one of us chooses a newspaper article or video, which we then discuss for an hour. Nathalie is extremely professional in her approach, prepares well for the class and provides me with good feedback. Every week or so I send in some written work as well, which she marks by return, giving helpful suggestions on how to improve the grammar and style. I really enjoy our weekly sessions. Would definitely recommend.

Nathalie has been my tutor for a couple of years now as I can't recommend her enough. She is patient, kind and has a great teaching style. I've had other professors who made French painful to learn - I never used to look forward to French lessons with other people. But Nathalie changed this and has made the experience much more pleasurable and fun which is how it should be. As I feel more at ease I improve at a much faster rate. Thank you Nathalie.

Nathalie is a fantastic teacher and a lovely person! She has really helped me strengthen my understanding of specific aspects of French grammar, and has pushed me with some fascinating and very stimulating conversations in French about a range of engaging topics. She listened to all of my aims with the lessons I had, and was very open to my input on how I’d best like to structure my lessons. Not only this, but she is super friendly and very kind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to improve or challenge themselves in their French! Merci beaucoup Nathalie!!

Nathalie is an amazing teacher and studying French with her was very beneficial and much fun.

She knows how to adapt to her students needs and quickly understands their learning mechanism.

Her approach is very flexible, and mostly communicative. she uses a lot of different materials from various sources.

I have definitely improved my French a lot in a short time since I started studying with her and I can highly recommend her.
