About Gawthavi
I am currently an Optometrist student studying at Cardiff University seeking an opportunity in the teaching field.
I first became interested to teach when I started mentoring students at school and help them with their homework. This opportunity made me realise how much I liked working with younger students and pass on my knowledge to them. I have been volunteering to as many opportunities as I could during my school time and I would like to carry on teaching as a part-time job.

Teaching Methods:
Start by knowing at which level the student is and see how we can improve their level.
Homework will be given and checked during each session.
Lessons will be according to how the student learns as I believe each student is different. For example - visualising mathematical techniques, variety of questions on the same topic, and exams/topic tests to ensure students are understanding.
Debrief at the end of each session how the lesson was and how well the student did and what do they need to work on.
Length of a lesson: 1-2 hours
Qualifications as a tutor: I have previously been part of an association called Maths Mentor, participated in many maths challenges as well as the UK Olympiad for girls. I have voluntarily taught maths to GCSE students.
Lessons are suited for primary and secondary school kids.
