About Sara
I'm a certified special education teacher that has over a decade of experience working with neurodiverse children (autism, adhd, dyslexia).
In addition to my teaching experience I also have years of training in the Orton Gillingham methodology to best support struggling readers so that they can grow and see their progress in meaningful ways, all while boosting their confidence and increasing their desire to challenge and build their skills.

My lessons, even virtual ones, focus on keeping lessons engaging and honoring children's authentic selves and developing an approach unique to them. I believe that effective teaching should limit frustration for the child and focus on highlighting even small growths to develop student confidence so they are prepared to tackle increasingly complex challenges.
