About Lori
I have 49 years of teaching experience and hold a Doctor of Education in Mathematical Sciences. Throughout my professional career, I have mentored students from secondary schools to advanced university programs, helping learners strengthen mathematical understanding through individualized instruction, practical learning experiences, and continuous encouragement. Supporting students as they achieve goals they once considered impossible remains the most rewarding part of my teaching journey.
One student initially found graph theory difficult because visualizing networks and identifying efficient pathways required a different style of mathematical reasoning. Through interactive graph activities, practical transportation examples, and structured problem-solving sessions, the learner gradually developed strong analytical skills and became confident applying graph-based methods to increasingly complex problems. This progress led to exceptional academic achievement and renewed enthusiasm for advanced mathematics.
I believe mathematics develops essential lifelong qualities including resilience, logical reasoning, adaptability, creativity, and informed decision-making.
