About Viji

Hi, I’m Viji! I’m passionate about education and, most importantly, about helping young people feel more confident in themselves and their abilities.

I believe that one-to-one learning can be particularly valuable because every student learns differently. Having the time and space to focus on an individual student allows them to ask questions freely, work at their own pace and receive support that is genuinely tailored to them. For me, tutoring is not just about helping a student achieve better results, but also about helping them enjoy learning and believe in what they are capable of.

Outside of education, I’m a big movie lover, enjoy going for long walks, and I’m a very proud cat mum! I’m naturally curious, friendly and love meeting new people. What motivates me most is knowing that even a small amount of support and encouragement can make a meaningful difference in a young person’s confidence and learning journey.

About the lesson

My approach as an Intervention Tutor is patient and calm, and to build their confidence in lessons.

I'd first assess their learning style and adapt my lessons to cater to their different learning needs. I keep instructions short and clear to avoid overwhelming students. I focus on encouragement, building confidence, and acknowledging their effort when they try something new. Lessons are 45-50 minutes for Y1-Y10.
