About Brianna

Hi, I’m a dedicated pre-med student passionate about helping students succeed in biology, chemistry, and math. With hands-on research experience, time as a teaching assistant, and a track record of high academic achievement, I bring both knowledge and practical strategies to every lesson. I believe learning should be engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s unique style, and I’m committed to helping learners build confidence, master challenging concepts, and achieve their academic goals. About the lesson

I believe biology, chemistry, and math make the most sense when students truly understand the “why” behind the material, not just memorize steps. My goal as a tutor is to build confidence, strengthen foundational understanding, and help students develop problem-solving skills they can use independently.

My Teaching Approach:
I tailor every session to the student’s learning style and current level. Some students need step-by-step breakdowns, others benefit from visuals and real-world examples, and some just need guided practice to gain confidence. I focus on:
- Breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable concepts
- Teaching problem-solving strategies
- Reinforcing foundational skills to prevent future confusion
- Encouraging questions in a supportive, judgment-free space
- As a research student and former teaching assistant, I’m experienced at explaining challenging material in multiple ways until it clicks.

A typical session may include:
- Quick review of previous material or homework questions
- Clarifying confusing concepts using examples and visuals
- Guided practice problems done together
- Independent practice with feedback
- Study tips and strategies for upcoming exams
I also help students prepare for quizzes, exams, and standardized tests by focusing on high-yield concepts and effective study methods.

- 3.95 GPA in a rigorous science curriculum
- Experience in organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, calculus, and more
- Research and thesis experience, which strengthens my analytical and teaching skills
- Teaching assistant experience: I’ve worked directly with students in academic settings
- Patient, friendly, and genuinely invested in student success
- I understand what it feels like to struggle with difficult material. I also know what strategies actually work to master it.

I tutor:
- Elementary and middle school math and science
High school biology, chemistry, and math (including honors/AP levels)
- Select college-level courses such as organic chemistry, general chemistry, biology, pre-calculus, writing, and so on
