About Michael
I'm an NYU graduate in computer science (along the way completing college level mathematics) and I graduated from a college preparatory high school in Philadelphia.
I've taught entry-level computer programming foundational skills in charter schools in New York and Washington, DC. I have taught math and test-prep 1:1 and in small classroom groups.

I am a dedicated tutor specializing in middle-school and early high-school math and computer science. I help students in grades 6–10 build real confidence in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, problem-solving strategies, and foundations of coding (Python, Scratch, Java, basic algorithms, and intro programming concepts).
My approach is clear, patient, and practical: we break concepts into manageable steps, connect them to real-world examples, and practice until the material clicks. Whether your student needs help catching up, staying ahead, or simply enjoying a sometimes confusing subject.
I'll focus on:
• Strengthening core math skills and study habits
• Making coding approachable and fun for beginners
• Preparing for quizzes, tests, and the transition into high-school STEM classes
