About Thomas
Hello! My name is Thomas, and I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. I've always been fascinated by mathematics because I enjoy understanding not just how to solve problems, but why the solutions work. That curiosity has made me a patient learner and has inspired me to help others discover that math can be both understandable and rewarding.
Outside of tutoring, I'm constantly working to improve my own mathematical knowledge and teaching skills. My goal is to become the kind of tutor I would have wanted as a student—someone who is approachable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping others succeed.

Mathematics can be intimidating, but I believe every student is capable of understanding it with the right guidance. As a university mathematics student pursuing an Applied Mathematics degree, I understand many of the challenges students face because I've worked through them myself. That experience has taught me that every student learns differently, and sometimes all it takes is the right explanation for everything to click.
My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and truly understand the concepts they're learning rather than simply memorizing formulas. Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs and learning style in a patient, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome.
One of the most rewarding moments for me is seeing a student go from saying, "I don't get it," to "That actually makes sense." Together, we'll build confidence and a lasting understanding of mathematics.
