Founded by David Blair McClosky, the goal of the McClosky Technique is functional efficiency.

It utilises a client-focussed approach to assist clients with achieving their vocal goals.

The McClosky Technique focusses on coordinating the different parts of the vocal mechanism so that each part of the body is doing its proper job.

Whether in speech or song, the end result is the same: vocal efficiency with little or no effort wasted.

Certified McClosky Voice Technicians (CMVTs) teach a series of exercises to release counter-productive tensions, a postural stance that promotes efficient, easy breathing, and an easy onset of tone (flow phonation).

Patricia's vocal services include vocal tuition and coaching; acting; professional voice use; public speaking; troubled voices; and accent coaching.

In addition to one-on-one sessions, McClosky workshops are regularly held throughout the year.

About the lesson

Patricia is passionate about the human voice and is Australia’s first and only Certified McClosky Voice Technician (CMVT). She has dedicated her career to understanding and assisting her clients with achieving vocal efficiency and vocal freedom. Patricia regularly works with clients on establishing or improving optimal vocal technique to fulfill their needs.

She became a Certified McClosky Voice Technician (CMVT) in 2013 and specialises in professional voice users. Patricia regularly works with clients on establishing or improving optimal vocal technique to fulfil their personal and professional needs (from speech to song).

Her services include vocal tuition and coaching; corporate care; public speaking; troubled voices; accent coaching; teacher's/lecturer's wellbeing; relaxation and realignment; and McClosky workshops.

Patricia regularly performs worldwide and specialises in modern music and early music; however, she has performed across genres – from jazz to classical, cabaret to opera, and beyond.
