About Eva
I am currently a senior in college majoring in neuroscience with nearly 1000 hours of tutoring experience in different academic areas, ranging from English and writing to biology and calculus. I also balance academics, maintaining a 3.9 cumulative GPA, and extracurriculars which have involved honor society participation, serving as president for a number of clubs, being a student ambassador, and being involved with the student government at my school.

I use a personalized approach to help students gain a conceptual understanding of the material with a teaching style optimized for their preferences. In my experience, conceptual understanding is more engaging and effective overall than rote memorization. I also develop my own lessons for teaching material as well as adapted exercises for practice and reinforcements. By developing my own questions, explanations, and analogies, I can most effectively convey complex material in an accessible manner and help students identify strengths as well as weaknesses, upon which we can implement targeted improvement strategies.
