About Dianyu
I am a PhD graduate from the University of Glasgow and currently work as a Learning Assistant in UK schools. I enjoy working with young people and helping them become more confident in Maths. I believe that with clear explanations, patience and the right support, every student can make progress. I aim to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, learning needs and goals. Lessons usually begin with a short review, followed by clear explanations of new concepts, worked examples and guided practice. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking. I then use practice questions to check understanding, identify difficulties and build confidence. Lessons typically last 60 minutes.
