My lessons last around an hour normally, and consist of going over a recap of previous topics, then I go through the topic before going through examples of the new topic with the student to reinforce understanding. If you're able to send me things you're struggling with (or are interested in learning more about) before the lesson, I'll be able to prepare more relevant material to go through. I'm also able to create a study plan with you in our first meeting, so you can set targets and expectations early on. I use a personal approach to help a student understand their strengths, and tailor their learning to use these strengths to build understanding. Students do better in subjects they are passionate about, and I always work to show applications of the topics being taught that are relevant to the student, with the aim of motivating them to independently enjoy Maths.
