About Claire
I am a PhD student studying cancer research at the University of Cape Town. I've recently found my passion for teaching and sharing my scientific research in a fun and visual ways. Biology and Science are my main passions but I also have 5 years of experience tutoring high school students in mathematics and science. I have also completed a training course at UCT where I learned how to effectively tutor university students in molecular biology and human physiology and anatomy. I am happy to use a variety of methods to suit your learning needs!

My teaching methodology is to start simple and work outwards from there. Students need to understand the core teachings in a simple way before they can tackle the harder things. I love using visual means to teaching and try to get my students to engage in a way they are comfortable. I will try to ensure our lessons are not boring and don't involve passive teaching.
