About Shibashish

Completed Bachelor of Science in Physics from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Presently pursuing a Master's from the same place. Qualified KVPY SA and SX with rank in the 200s. Teaching physics for high school students and especially competitive exams for the last 3 years. Comfortable with both group and individual classes. I focus more on proper understanding of the concepts of the various topics that I cover in class instead of rote learning. I believe this helps in better comprehension by students resulting in better exam results.

About the lesson

I focus mostly on teaching high school students for various competitive exams. I also teach students from slightly lower grades so that they can be familiar with certain topics prior to when they are usually introduced in school and thus develop a deeper understanding.

I like to focus more on the basic concepts and try to build up from that. This is especially helpful for students to be able to understand the multitude of topics being introduced and have a roadmap which they can follow in case of necessity.

I try to practice appropriate problems such that these concepts can be ingrained in the students. Although formulas and tricks can be important and are thus given their due attention, I like to focus more on the reasoning behind these equations such that if and when required, the students should be able to derive the results themselves.
