About Helen
Physics tutor with 6 years of experience teaching college students. Have taught around 220 students, helping many improve their understanding of wave mechanics and acoustics. I use engaging examples and clear visual aids in my teaching. I provide structured notes and practice problems for each topic. I believe that physics is best learned through observation and practice. I am patient and adapt to each student's learning style. Many of my students have scored well in their exams and developed a genuine interest in wave physics. I am also available for extra doubt-clearing sessions. My goal is to ensure you fully understand and enjoy the subject.

My teaching approach for Physics is centered on wave motion and sound phenomena. I cover simple harmonic motion, damped oscillations, forced oscillations, and resonance with practical examples like pendulums, mass-spring systems, and mechanical resonators. I explain wave propagation on strings and in fluids, including wave speed, energy transfer, superposition, and reflection. I cover sound waves, beats, intensity, decibel scale, and the Doppler effect with real-world examples like ambulance sirens, radar speed guns, and astronomical redshift. I also cover interference, standing waves, and their applications in musical instruments, acoustics, and noise cancellation. I provide clear derivations and emphasise visual understanding through diagrams and animations. I include numerical problems and encourage students to practice both conceptual and calculation-based questions. I conduct regular quizzes and mock tests to prepare for exams. I also provide summary notes and key formula sheets for quick revision. For students who need extra help, I provide one-on-one doubt sessions and additional practice worksheets. My goal is to make wave physics engaging and exam-friendly.
