About Josh
I am a 21-year-old guitarist from York with Trinity Guildhall Grades 1 - 6 and Rockschool Grade 8. I moved to Liverpool to complete my higher education, I have studied music from GCSE to degree level. I have taken past students through exams to successful results (merit) and gigged extensively since I was 14. I can teach any style of electric and acoustic guitar - rock, blues, jazz, funk, folk, country and metal. I am also available to teach music theory.

I like to work with students to find their greatest sources of potential and work to improve them. Lessons can be fun and student-oriented, I am happy to teach any songs or pieces that you may want to learn. Exercises and routine practice techniques will also be implemented to work on theory knowledge and technical ability.

I studied with Josh during my postgraduate degree to learn jazz guitar. Josh knew absolutely everything I asked him, from improvising effectively using the Lydian mode to playing oasis songs, Josh was excellent at explaining and teaching both. I can't recommend him enough.
