About Christopher
I am a PhD student who is finalising my thesis at the minute. My PhD is in composite material science. Here I deal with the science of cracking, i.e. fracture mechanics to make ultra-lightweight aerostructures for next-generation aircraft. I also have a passion for maths and physics and I believe a lot of this passion was bestowed upon me by my teachers and mentors. Therefore I believe having a good mentor can give you the inspiration you need to tackle problems head on and I will be passionate about my tutoring.

I mentor undergraduate students in all aspects of engineering and have helped with tutorial classes on masters programs including Dynamics 4 and CAE 4. This can easily be adapted to mentor and tutor younger secondary school students, who have a willingness and enthusiasm about science and maths. Typically we will work on areas which you may have problems with and I will assign you problems to work on. We will then go through the issues in the next session and I will work through them with you and any other areas you may be struggling with about maths and physics. The length of the lessons can be flexible. I like helping and mentoring people, especially those who have applied themselves to a problem and want further understanding to advance their abilities.
