About Mammad

I’m currently doing my postgraduate degree in Operational Research with Data Science at the University of Edinburgh, School of Mathematics. My background is in information technology, maths and statistics, and I genuinely enjoy the problem-solving side of things. I’ve worked with students before and one thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of people struggle not because the material is too hard, but because it hasn’t been explained in a way that actually clicks for them. That’s what I try to fix. Rather than just walking through formulae or getting you to memorise methods, I want you to actually get why something works, because once that happens, everything gets a whole lot easier.

About the lesson

Hey!

In our sessions, I break things down step by step and talk through the logic behind each approach, not just the mechanics. The goal is that by the end, you’re not dependent on me, you can tackle similar problems on your own.
Everyone learns differently too, so I don’t have a one-size-fits-all way of teaching. I’ll adapt to your pace, your goals, and whatever you’re finding tricky - whether that’s prepping for an exam, filling in gaps in your foundations, or just building some confidence with the material.
I know these subjects can feel intimidating, and I’ve seen first-hand how quickly that can change with the right support. I want our sessions to feel like a space where no question is a stupid question and where you actually leave feeling like you’ve made progress, not just in your grades, but in how you think about problems.
