About Prashant

Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Prashant Gupta — a dedicated and approachable educator with a PhD in Finance and several years of experience teaching at the university level. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at Mahindra University, where I teach courses such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Introduction to Finance, and Personal Finance. My teaching blends deep academic understanding with real-world applications, helping students not just learn finance but truly understand and use it. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring students from diverse backgrounds — from undergraduates just beginning their journey, to working professionals looking to sharpen their financial skills. What sets me apart is my ability to explain even the most complex topics in a simple, relatable manner. About the lesson

As a PhD holder in finance and a passionate educator, my teaching philosophy is simple: make complex ideas easy to understand and relevant to real life. I use a concept-first, application-later approach. That means I focus on helping students truly understand why something works before getting into the how. I simplify theories using examples from everyday life and current business practices. What Makes Me Different: 1. PhD-qualified, but I teach like I’m explaining to a 10-year-old 2.
