About Olivia
Hi! I’m Olivia, and I'm a college student majoring in neuroscience with a minor in biology on the pre-med track. I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident in math, chemistry, and biology. I understand how overwhelming these subjects can be, and I'm someone who has a terrible attention span, so I focus on explaining concepts clearly, breaking problems down step-by-step, and adapting my teaching style to each student.

-I focus on breaking difficult concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations. I use examples, practice problems, and active recall to make sure students understand the material rather than just memorize it.
-A lesson plan reviews the student’s current understanding, explain key concepts, work through examples together, practice problems independently, and finish with a quick review of what they should continue practicing.
-I am patient and approachable, and I understand challenging material from a student’s perspective. I focus on helping students build confidence and actually understand the “why” behind the material.
-I teach high school and undergraduate students taking math, chemistry, or biology, particularly introductory and general education courses.
