About Parveen
As well as being a biochemistry major, I swim competitively at a collegiate level and I take joy in teaching swim lessons to younger kids. I grew up with a very interactive lifestyle that incorporated my personal experiences with academics that has allowed me to acquire a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subjects I have studied which range from general chemistry and pre-algebra to biochemistry, organic chemistry, calculus 3 and even biostatistics. But these courses were not easy and took many, many hours of hard work and studying. So I am also able to relate on a personal level with the students I tutor because I used to be in their shoes. These courses can be intimidating and often times, they are not inclusive of multiple learning styles making it harder for students to ask for help and receive help. I hope, with my services, that I can alleviate some of the pressure and help students get through these courses and surpass their limits.

I am an undergrad student who wants to see students succeed in securing the fundamental subjects such as math and science before they go off to college. I specialize in prealgebra to precalculus as well as general chemistry and college prep work. Having worked in middle and high school as well as with younger kids, I take a holistic approach that ensures kids learn with the method that helps them the best. My major focus is to connect what they are learning with real world examples and experiences to help them understand the concepts rather than simply memorizing them.
