About Honor
Hi, I'm Honor, a primary school teacher with five years of classroom experience. I love helping children develop confidence in their learning and celebrating the progress they make along the way. Although I enjoy teaching whole classes, tutoring gives me the opportunity to focus entirely on one child and tailor lessons to their individual needs.
Through one-to-one support, I can quickly identify areas for development, build on a child's strengths, and adapt my teaching to suit the way they learn best. I believe children learn most effectively when they feel supported, challenged and successful, and my goal is always to help pupils grow in both confidence and achievement.

I am a qualified primary school teacher currently teaching in Key Stage 1. My aim as a tutor is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel confident to take risks, ask questions and enjoy learning. I carefully assess each pupil's strengths and areas for development, then plan lessons that are tailored to their individual needs.
I use a range of teaching strategies including modelling, discussion, retrieval practice and step-by-step scaffolding to ensure pupils experience success and make strong progress. Lessons are usually 60 minutes long and are suitable for primary-aged children. With daily classroom experience teaching reading, writing, phonics and maths, I am able to provide targeted support that helps children build both their skills and their confidence.
