About Kitty
Hiya! My names Kitty. I am currently studying Biomedical Science (BSc) at university (Av: 1st).
Having been inspired by enthusiastic teachers from a young age, I found my passion in Biology. Growing up, I often found myself going above and beyond to help my friends pass test and exams, which led me to realise my love of teaching. This lent itself to helping out at after school sessions in my last years of school and then working as a homeschool Nanny from 2019-2021.
Teaching allows me to showcase the brilliance of biology and I am motivated by the possbility that tutoring could lead to someone else discovering their passion for science too!
I have a positive attitude to work and am always patient when teaching. I never shy away from encouraging students to be curious, and am forever ready to establish a teaching environment that suits YOU.

Helping and Tutoring children 8-17 yrs (GCSE, AS level). Experience in helping at after school sessions and homeschooling as I have been a Nanny. I also have experience in UCAT exams having taken the test (2810 score - 2019). All sessions tailored to suit individual needs.
Teaching sessions will typically last 50 mins, followed by a 5-10 minute summary and debrief chat! The session opens with friendly chat about the topic, followed by topic questions to gauge understanding. A ‘mini lesson’ is then delivered to combat misunderstanding. Following this, a ‘quick quiz’ is done ensure the content was understood. Finally, if preparing for GCSE/A Level, we’ll work through practice/past paper questions as practice makes perfect! ‘Quick quiz’ will then be avaliable for personal use after the session to facilitate memorisation of covered content.
Homework and exam sessions will consist on working through the problems together to allow real time understanding. These sessions can be followed up with a teaching session to ensure the material and technique were memorised.
