About Lee
Hey! I'm Lee, and I was a walk-in math and physics tutor for about 9 months in Strozier Library at FSU before getting my current job, so I've met a wide range of people with different goals and learning styles, and I've tutored a wide range of subtopics within math, physics, and computer science.
I currently work full-time as a data scientist, which does constrain my daytime availability, but should serve as some assurance that I know what I'm doing enough for someone to hire me! :)
I am confident that I can tutor anything from pre-algebra through calculus 3 and ordinary differential equations, in addition to many topics in physics and programming, so just reach out to me and ask if I'm familiar with a topic if you aren't sure!

I try to tailor my style to each individual, but my overarching goal with tutoring is to foster a sense of self-confidence in approaching these subjects. With each person I tutor, I want to help them see that their thought process is valid, and give them the tools they need to follow that thought process to a solution.
Lessons can be as structured or as unstructured as you want. I'm down for anything ranging from us chilling while you work on homework and occasionally ask questions to a structured lesson where I walk you through a concept, then work example problems resembling test or homework questions.
We can also go into as much depth as you want-- I'd love to give an intuitive explanation of some formula that you've previously only been taught to memorize, but I fully recognize that a lot of students just want to take the formula and run. My only request is that you tell me ahead of time about
(a) what kind of session you're looking for, and
(b) what topics you're learning so that I can review them before the lesson (some of this stuff takes a while to thaw).
