About Hannah

My name is Hannah. I am 19 years old I am from East London, South Africa! English is my native language, but I am currently learning French as my second language.
I graduated from high school last year with a bachelors pass and from there I went straight into working for Century 21 Real Estate. I am currently doing my 1 year internship to become a qualified real estate agent.

I have other part-time work experience from between the years 2016-2018, which includes product promotion, house-sitting, and volunteer work in the peadiatric ward at our local hospital where I played with the young patients to distract them from their hospital stay.

I completed my 160 hour tefl certification this year, which includes my TEYL certificate to teach English to younger learners! At the moment, I only have free talk experience from Palfish. I have been free talking to non English speakers for about 2 months, and helping them learn and practice their English speaking skills. I work well with all age groups.

I will help you learn how to use English in different contexts; from casual conversation to business English. I want to help you improve your fluency and help you achieve a native sounding accent. In my classroom, I make learning English easy and fun! I will also help with pronunciation guidance and IELT exam preparation. I cover conversational English, General English, Basic English, Business English, and IELTS.

About the lesson

I use the TPR method (Total Physical Response), as I feel it makes my learners engaged and the lessons more interactive. It also helps my students to learn quicker and remember what they have learnt, as they are able to associate new words with certain movements and pictures.

I have a lot of patience and I care about my students' progress. I will build your confidence and your level of English proficiency. If you are doing exam training, I will help you reach the grades that you require. You can expect lessons to be fun and interactive. I will find the areas that need focus and help you with this. I am willing to customise my lessons for your specific needs.
