Learn Authentic Hindustani Classical Vocal Music — from the Fundamentals to the Art of Khayal
Indian Classical Music is a deeply beautiful and creative tradition, but I understand that it can also feel difficult and overwhelming when you are beginning. I experienced these challenges myself when I started my musical journey. Finding the right guidance and understanding the depth of the tradition was not always easy.
That experience shaped the way I teach today. I believe every sincere student deserves authentic guidance, a structured learning path and the opportunity to learn the music in its true spirit.
I am a Hindustani Classical Vocalist and experienced music educator with over 8 years of teaching experience, specializing in Khayal singing and the Kirana tradition. I have trained under the guidance of Pt. Kaivalya Kumar Gurav and have been a student of the prestigious Dr. Gangubai Hangal Gurukul. I hold a Master’s degree in Classical Music, have secured University Rank and qualified UGC-NET.
What you will learn

For advanced students, I go deeper into the art of Khayal, focusing on how to develop a Raga with sensitivity, creativity and aesthetic understanding. Students learn not merely to reproduce what has been taught, but gradually to think, create and express themselves through music, while remaining rooted in the authentic tradition.
My teaching philosophy
I believe Indian Classical Music is not simply about memorizing compositions or singing notes correctly. It is an extremely creative art form.
My goal is to help each student understand why a Raga sounds the way it does, how to develop it beautifully, and eventually how to create their own meaningful musical expression within its framework.
I welcome beginners, intermediate learners, advanced vocalists and international students. Lessons are personalized according to the student's level, goals and pace of learning.
I also provide structured preparation for Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya examinations for students who wish to pursue formal certification alongside their musical training.
Whether you are discovering Hindustani Classical Music for the first time or looking to deepen your Khayal practice, I would be happy to guide you on this musical journey with authenticity, patience and dedication.

I am a professional Hindustani Classical vocalist from the Kirana Gharana, trained under Pt. Kaivalyakumar Gurav and a student of the prestigious Dr. Gangubai Hangal Gurukul. My teaching combines traditional guru-shishya values with a structured and student-friendly approach suitable for learners worldwide.
Each class is carefully tailored to your musical level and goals. We work on voice culture, swar accuracy, raga development, alaap, bandish, taal, improvisation and effective riyaaz techniques. Beginners are warmly welcomed, while intermediate and advanced students can receive deeper guidance in raga presentation and performance preparation.
My aim is not simply to teach compositions, but to help you understand the musical language of Hindustani Classical music, develop a confident voice, and experience the authentic aesthetics of the Kirana tradition.
