Merely passing a class sounds fine to some, but you'll regret not aiming higher later. Trust me. Getting a good grade necessitates more than just memorizing the "right" answers. It requires learning how to read more effectively in general, and acquiring the skill to read the material more effectively. This is what leads to a parsed and therefore functional understanding of the material. Believe it or not, this requires more rumination than reading. All of this becomes reality in a social setting involving mentor (me) and student (you) on account of what transpires next: discussion. That's right. No more cramming, no more trying to compact dense information into your head at once. The objective is to cultivate a functional understanding of the work without late night headaches or fatigue.
