About Audrey

Thanks for dropping by! I am currently accepting a few new UK students, so feel free to book a trial lesson and we'll discover if this is the right fit for you! I've been teaching for twelve years and have built a dynamic studio of clients from across the US, Canada, the Middle East, and Europe. My teaching is inspired by the incredible teachers I've had throughout my life, from my first-grade piano teacher to my current teachers at the Metropolitan Opera. I've learned how transformative the right information communicated in the right way can be - not only for a lesson but for the whole trajectory of a student's life. I take a practical, results-driven approach, letting each student's unique strengths lead the teaching process so lessons are fun, effective, and inspiring. You already know so much more than you think you do and I'd love to show you just how much you're capable of! You can learn more about me on my studio website at (concealed information) Education: I have a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory and Bachelors degrees in Voice and Theatre from Wheaton College. I currently work throughout the US as a professional operatic soprano. My operatic training is with MaryAnn McCormick and Lori Ernest of the Metropolitan Opera and I currently specialise in the works of Handel, Mozart, and modern composers. As a jazz vocalist, I've studied with the inimitable Brad Williams of the New 21st Century Review. For 5 years I was a core member of Arena Theatre - one of Chicago's premier acting companies - and have studied voice for the stage with Jenn Cribbs and Shakespeare with Mark Lewis.

About the lesson

I take a student-oriented approach to teaching, making sure you gain the skills you need to achieve your goals. With extensive training in opera, musical theatre and jazz, I bring the knowledge and flexibility to get you the most out of your voice! Nervous about virtual lessons? I teach using FarPlay, an easy-to-use platform that enhances audio quality, eliminates latency issues, and allows me to accompany my students in real-time. You get the best of both worlds: the support of an in-person experience with the convenience of virtual lessons. My students range from acoustic singer-songwriters to Broadway actors, theatre kids to classical singers preparing for the conservatory. All are welcome here! As an active performer with a thriving stage career, I'm passionate about setting you apart as the authentic artist you are. I bring my day-to-day industry experience directly to you. I teach because I love it and I'm there for you every step of the way! note: Trial Lessons are hosted with Zoom or Superprof.

Trial lessons are £16/30 min, over 50% off my regular fee! My rate for weekly lessons is £65/hr which includes all needed sheet music and other practice support materials.
