About Kelly
Teaching music is my greatest joy, and I have spent over nine years helping students unlock the full power of their voices. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Arts and Opera, which gave me a deep understanding of vocal mechanics. My true passion lies in helping singers build vocal confidence, overcome performance anxiety, and connect emotionally with contemporary worship and gospel music.
We can explore several modern styles together, including pop, indie, rhythm and blues, and contemporary worship. My lessons focus heavily on healthy breath control, expressive phrasing, vocal health, and live performance coaching specifically for congregational singing. I enjoy working with a wide range of students, from shy beginners and teen worship leaders to aspiring recording artists.
I remember working with a young worship leader who used to lose their voice every Sunday due to strain. We adjusted their breathing and phrasing, and soon they were leading their congregation with total freedom and ease. Finding your voice is a beautiful process, and I want to support you as you enjoy this journey of musical self-expression in a spiritual context.

My lessons focus on the practical skills you need to record high quality vocals that truly stand out. We spend a lot of time mastering proper microphone technique and understanding professional studio recording etiquette. I also teach students how to navigate vocal layering and how to work dynamically with effects like reverb and delay.
Many of my students come from rigorous classical or instrumental backgrounds and want to adapt to modern recording environments. For example, I recently coached a classical violinist who wanted to track vocals for a pop project but kept moving away from the microphone. We worked on fixed positioning and tracking layers until their vocal tracks sounded polished and tight.
I make sure you understand the technical side of the studio so you can feel completely relaxed behind the glass. My goal is to give you the exact tools needed to sound professional every time you step in front of a microphone. We will work closely together to ensure your recordings shine and your unique talents translate perfectly onto the track.
