About Akshat
I'm a tubist based in Chicago who has studied classical music for the past decade. I grew up around the world and have a unique perspective on teaching music to students of all backgrounds. I've been teaching private lessons for 10 years and have had students go on to study music full time for their undergraduate degrees. I'm comfortable teaching beginners to students in college, and I love figuring out what works best for each specific student. My standards are high and I truly believe that anyone can do anything they put their mind to, and my role as a teacher is to push my students past their limits to goals they didn't think they could achieve.

I approach each topic with a fundamental understanding of how it works, building from the basics into more challenging applications of the material. I cater my teaching style to each student specifically. Each lesson covers fundamental exercises, technique exercises, and focus on developing individual musicianship.
With around a year of teaching over the internet under my belt, I 100% believe that I can effectively teach students over Zoom/Google Meet/etc.
