Venezuela, dedicated to the world of music for 16 years, I am part of the system of orchestras in Venezuela, with whom I made various tours around the world with different groups. Depending on the level of the student, we will focus on the factors necessary to improve the instrumental performance.
I love to teach, and music is my passion. I aim to inculcate a love of music, and general playing ability for all instruments I teach. My specialty is teaching students to sing while playing piano, but I can teach the reading of sheet music for both Tuba and Piano. I can teach students up to distinction level grade 5 theory, and can give vocal coaching.
Private lessons mainly aimed at pupils starting a brass instrument or Piano, or who are a beginner looking to improve there skills and complete grades if applicable. I am currently a brass player in a championship section band able to give private tuition in any brass instrument from a beginner to advanced standard.
I currently perform in many ensembles around Cambridge, including Emmanuel College Chapel Choir. I'm intending to go into teaching and I'm hoping this will help me gain valuable experience.
My teaching methodology is very individualized. For beginners, I recommend longer lessons times to learn how to read music, some basic music theory, and then delving into there desired instrument. For more advanced students, I encourage them to search for personally chosen pieces which both inspire ad stretch the individual's abilities.
Utilising the latest music pedagogy techniques and strategies to foster highly skilled students. Beginner lessons involve modelling of correct technique and a lot of positive reinforcement for students' successes and efforts. Specialising in helping students to achieve great results in AMEB exams whilst gaining a PASSION for music. Will travel to you. All ages welcome.
Tutoring is a new venture for myself. There is not many lady tuba players around. I have taught others to read music and I am very patient and understanding.
I like to approach the lesson by first evaluating what you do and don't know, and then working on a foundation from there. I treat my students professionally but not with a cold shoulder. I listen and play all types of music, and do not exclude anyone based on skill or music tastes.
