About Nathan El-kanate

I am a graduate of Mass Communication from ABU, Zaria, and have been teaching English Language for over 13 years. I have also completed my Post Graduate Program in Education, hence I am a very qualified teacher. I have under my belt 12 years of experience in private tutorship ranging from kids to adults, both as an intervention program and in preparing test takers for both local (WAEC, JAMB, Common Entrance—including Loyola Jesuit with three of my pupils securing admission into Loyola) and international exams such as SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, and Cambridge Examination all with significant results and most of them securing admission into their desired institution.

About the lesson

My lessons are largely participatory, i.e., activity-based. People often complain that they prefer maths to English because in the former, they not only use their ears and eyes but also use their hands, which is contrary to the latter. Therefore, I choose to engage learners more with activities not just to keep them busy, but so they develop the right skills needed in excelling, after all, "Practice Makes Better".
