About Rachel
I am a professor of music history and music theory at Pima Community College. Prior to coming to Pima, I worked for 8 years as a learning disability tutor for high school and college students. My students have had tremendous success over the years - my students have a 97% graduation rate.

Are you taking a music theory class or a music general education course that you cannot seem to wrap your head around? I work extensively with each student to find out what their learning style is first, then create custom lesson plans for each student. I firmly believe that if a student is not comfortable with a tutor, then they will not be successful - so I do not force students who might not be the right fit to work with me. I am excellent at homework help, as I am able to break down individual concepts and make sure the student has a firm grasp of said concept before moving on to the next part. This building block method tends to work well for students of music theory and history.

Details
Cancellations by the student within 24 hours of the appointment time will result in payment of $40 (one hour tutoring fee).
Illnesses are exceptions to this tariff.
After 3 cancellations, the student will be dropped from my tutoring schedule.
The maximum driving time that I am willing to drive for an in-person session is 30 minutes. Anything farther than that will incur an additional $5 per hour.
