About Hannah

Hi there! I'm Hannah Keel, and I've recently relocated to Cork from Melbourne, Australia, and I'm loving it! I'm passionate about helping students reach their full potential, and I can't wait to get to know you and tailor my support to your learning style. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports, especially AFL (Australian footy). I'm a big fan of Collingwood but am also excited to explore Irish sports! Before moving to Cork, I worked as a tutor across eight schools, teaching English and maths. Prior to that, I was a full-time primary school teacher, focusing on prep students.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is student-centered and tailored to each individual's needs and learning style. I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which is key to learning. Every lesson is carefully planned with clear goals, but also flexible enough to adapt based on progress or any challenges the student may face. A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous content to ensure understanding, followed by new material introduced through interactive activities and discussion. Whether we are working on English skills or school subjects, I use a variety of resources—such as games, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises—to make learning engaging and relatable. All depending on age and student interests. Lessons conclude with a brief recap. My approach emphasizes building confidence, critical thinking, and independent study skills. I believe that every student learns differently, and I aim to equip each one with the tools they need to succeed both academically and in everyday life.
