About Ana-Maria
I have a First-class Honours in Psychology (BSc) and a First-class Honours in Sociology (BA). In the third year of studying psychology, I averaged A+. I studied hard. Over time I discovered many ways of doing things better. My strengths in psychology are critical thinking, originality and good writing structure. I like to offer my students good tips and tricks to improve their writing skills. My tutoring style is friendly and relaxed. I am happy to work with whatever you feel will help you the most: critical thinking, originality, essay writing, exam preparation. From my own experience as a student, I know how marking works. I can give you good suggestions about ways to improve your grades. I believe my academic journey was in many ways the same as the ones of many other students. I started ok, and I improved over time. I focus on tutoring essay writing skills, critical thinking and originality. I offer tips and tricks to avoid losing marks in a silly way. I help students who prepare for exams or students who have to write different types of assignments, reports and dissertations. For many students, the academic journey from the first year of studies till the third year is 'trial and error'. They are learning from their grades what they did wrong. I prefer to explain things more straightforwardly so students know how to improve. In the long term, I try to inspire students to become confident, find their voice, support their arguments and develop writing skills for their future careers in psychology.
