About Aidan

I take pride in my ability to make history and literature interesting, enjoyable, and relevant. Not every student will love every single thing they have to study, but if they can come away from my sessions understanding its significance and how they can use this knowledge in other ways, then I will consider the session a success.

In addition to my PhD, I have published widely in the fields of early modern English history, early modern English literature, children's literature, adaptation, and the history of monarchy. I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

About the lesson

I am passionate about teaching at a university level and consistently receive outstanding feedback for my sessions. I care deeply about the successes of my students and work hard to ensure they understand the subject/topic and can become confident and independent learners. My experience covers both school-leaver and mature students, and I am happy to tailor my approach depending on background and need.
