About Daniel
My name is Daniel Fry. I am a novelist and an author who has a book in print. I have over 30 years of experience in writing either non-fiction or fiction. I am a creative writing and literature teacher who enjoys teaching and consuming the finer points of fine literature and exciting novels. My one desire is to teach you, and you can be a child or an adult, how to be a better fiction writer and get a better grasp on fine literature. I hope we can work together soon! I'll be looking forward to getting to know you and starting a meaningful, lasting partnership.

My teaching method and technique for creative writing: help coach my students in the rules of creative writing, such as how a plot is laid out and the importance of setting and the importance of details in the places where the stories are set. My own technique is very detailed and I will teach my students how to utilize that form of technique in his/her writing style. My typical lesson plan for literature: Have the student read one chapter aloud and we will discuss the fundamentals of the chapters, such as reviewing the voice, description, setting, and descriptive words and characters and the voice and tone of the work of art. We will discuss it in a more cerebral almost heartfelt way where the student will dig deeply into the book and get a feel for what the author was trying to convey to the student, in his tone, style and language. What sets me apart as a tutor from other tutors is I have a lot of experience in books and creative writing as I have a book in print "Depression: The Darkness Within," iUniverse, 2004, and I wrote a thriller novel and am in the process of looking for an agent. I am currently writing my second novel, a spy novel. I look at literature as not just a story but a piece of the person who wrote it and the person who reads it. I wish to convey this sense of wonderment to my students. These lessons are aimed towards students in elementary school through the university level, as well as adults who just want to personally enrich themselves. As far as Creative writing students, I wish to pass along my love for writing books and short stories to them and be the coach on their journey towards becoming a published author or if they would like to become a good short story writer for their own personal enjoyment without sending the story into a publisher for publication then all the more power to them. In other words, what I am trying to say is that I want to pass along my skills as an educator to other people and have them feel the love of learning as much as I do.
