About Anna

I love teaching. Being in the classroom gives me energy, and I really enjoy finding fun, creative ways to help people learn English. I love using games in my lessons!

I have lived in many different countries. I am also a language learner myself, so I understand how hard and frustrating it can be to live in a language you don't feel confident in yet. This helps me understand what my students are going through.

I am relaxed, chatty, and quite energetic. In my lessons, you can expect a friendly atmosphere, not a strict classroom feeling.

I get bored quite easily myself! So I make sure every lesson has different activities, and I tailor everything to the student. This makes lessons more interesting for both of us. I'm not just here to teach you. Often, I learn something new too.

I am always open to trying new approaches. If something isn't working for you, we will find a way that does.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring
I believe the best way to learn a language is to use it. So my lessons are built around real activities, not just grammar rules. This is how my brain works best, and it means you use English to actually do things.

I always try to make lessons a little bit challenging. Not too easy, not too hard. This helps you grow without feeling overwhelmed. For young learners, I use a lot of movement and games, instead of sitting and doing worksheets.

I don't just want you to "understand" English in a general way. I like to work on specific skills. For example: the skills you need for a natural conversation or, the difference between listening to a lecture vs a group conversation. When I can, I use real materials — articles, audio, videos — so you learn English you will really use.

Every student gets their own learning plan. This plan is based on your goals, your interests, and your level. It is not the same for everyone.

Who my lessons are for
I teach all ages and all levels. This means young children, teenagers, and adults. Complete beginners to advanced speakers. I enjoy teaching every type of student, so no matter your level, I will adapt my lessons for you.

Lesson length
Lessons are usually around 1 hour. For young children, lessons are often shorter, to match their attention span. Lessons are available online or in person.

Qualifications and experience
DELTA qualified (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults). Over 10 years of experience teaching English around the world.
