About Erum
Hello! My name is Miss Erum Syed, and I am a passionate and experienced educator with over 9 years of teaching experience both online and face-to-face.
I hold a BSc in Applied Biology and a Master’s in Education from the University of Bath. Alongside classroom teaching, I have also worked for 9 years in college learning support, helping students with a wide range of educational needs to build confidence and achieve their goals.
I also hold a Level 5 Certificate in Dyslexia and Assistive Technology, allowing me to provide tailored support for students with dyslexia and additional learning needs. My lessons are patient, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s individual learning style.

My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
I specialise in teaching Secondary School and GCSE students in Biology and Science, including support for students with dyslexia and additional learning needs. Lessons are structured clearly and can include revision techniques, exam preparation, homework support, and help understanding difficult topics.
With over 9 years of teaching and learning support experience, I understand that every student learns differently. I use patient explanations, interactive methods, and practical study strategies to help students make steady progress and achieve their goals.
