About Zoe
I am a friendly and patient secondary teacher. I have experience teaching math in schools and one-on-one, and I enjoy helping students who feel “stuck” realize they are capable of more than they think. My approach is calm, encouraging, and structured: I take time to understand each student’s goals, explain ideas clearly, and celebrate small wins so their confidence grows over time. Outside teaching, I enjoy building Lego and solving Rubik’s cubes, which reflects my logical, organized approach to problem-solving. I also have a very spoiled dog, so I understand the importance of balancing study with real life and keeping lessons relaxed and enjoyable. My goal is to help students feel calm, confident, and in control of their math learning.

I offer personalised maths lessons for secondary students, with a focus on building understanding, confidence, and good study habits. As an experienced maths teacher, I draw on classroom experience to explain concepts clearly, use real‑world examples, and check for understanding regularly. Lessons are structured but flexible: we can follow the school curriculum, prepare for tests and SACs, or revisit earlier topics to fill gaps. I use a mix of worked examples, guided practice, and independent questions, and I give specific feedback so students know exactly what to work on between sessions.
